sakura pierce is simply a blog para music. J-pop, K-pop, Standard american music, whatever I am so compelled to write about. The posts will consist of mainly rants and whorings (Fanboyish love-fests), with the occasional review when I’m feeling sophisticated.

So the site is called sakura pierce after a Minori Chihara (lovelove) song, and while I don’t love the song, the title is beyond hot. Likewise, I try to make this blog as hot as possible, so be prepared.

Other things you might need to know about this blog:

1. The viewer (you) is often referred to as Pippin.

2. I often use random words of different languages, which may include spanish, french, or maybe I’ll go all weaboo on you and throw in some Japanese. Just don’t get scared when you see crazy words. I might be habloing espanol. :’D

3. Though I try to make my opinions intelligent, I cannot get past my Perfume and Nakata biases. I’ve tried, and it doesn’t work, so just be prepared.

About the Me

I’m James: Perfume whore, ex-weaboo, player of the uke (and other less cool instruments), and a lover of many things. One of these things is Japanese. I’ve loved Japan and schtuff since my days as a little person, so I feel like I have a genuine love for it, not in a wanna-be-asian way. Hopefully… I’m kind of an artist. I take pictures and I make music, though I’m kind of reserved about my art and I don’t play to show any of you guyses my songs for… Long times. I play guitar and ukulele mainly, but I’m fascinated with really heavily produced stuff and techno, so I’ve attempted that before. Just imagine me like a cross between Ingrid Michaelson and Yasutaka Nakata (Looks and music wise. Oh baby). Also, I have a thing for triangles.
